Published quarterly, this new journal selects the best articles written by Chinese professors and students from the top university journals and professional journals in China, through a rigorous and competitive process. Building on the current scholarship, it aims at exploring issues concerned by professors and students, practitioners, and those who are outside of the educational fields but interested in the educational development in China. Chinese education has made much progress in recent years, especially with regard to the areas of compulsory education, higher education, and professional education. To further embrace the outside world, China is experiencing a transformation that requires ever better educated people. This requirement for innovative education in various key fields has been stimulating academic debates and interest in academic research into pedagogy. The journal is edited by the editorial office at the Chinese Society of Education of China, under the guide of the Editor-in-Chief, Professor Gu Mingyuan, one of the most distinguished educationists in China, and editorial board members composed of eminent scholars in the field of education both in China and overseas.
