Description:
Published for the European Association for Banking History Financial History Review is designed as the international forum for all scholars with interests in the development of banking finance and monetary matters. Its editors deliberately seek to embrace the broadest approach to publishing research findings within this growing historical specialism. The Reviews chronological concern is wide beginning with the emergence of market economies. Similarly its geographical scope is global: international and comparative studies are published alongside those focused upon national regional and local affairs. Articles address cultural and social aspects as well as the interrelations between politics and finance. These presentations of current research are complemented by somewhat shorter pieces specifically conceived as aids to research. Each issue contains a substantial review section and every complete volume contains one article concerned with archival sources and an annual bibliography.
