Description:
Section B of The Quarterly Journal of Experimental Psychology is a leading international journal which publishes in all areas of comparative and physiological psychology. Papers of the highest standard are accepted over a wide variety of topics. The general concerns of the Journal are: how animals acquire and use knowledge of their world; the nature of such knowledge; the relationship between knowledge and behaviour; the neural mechanisms underlying psychological processes; the relationship between learning, motivational and cognitive processes in non-human animals and comparable human processes; and the role of behaviour in ecology and evolution. The articles listed below give an indication of the areas currently covered by the Journal. Book reviews are a regular feature. Although concentrating on the above areas, they also discuss more general issues, including historical and philosophical aspects of the subject. The Quarterly Journal of Experimental Psychology, Section B encourages and accepts papers from all over the world. In doing so it maintains an international perspective on key areas within comparative and physiological psychology.
