Description:

The Journal of Social and Evolutionary Systems is an interdisciplinary quarterly concerned with the unity, analogy, and relationships, theoretical and practical, between biological dynamics and mechanisms such as evolution, natural selection, and individual development, and social activities including technology, economics, politics, ideologies, literature, art, customs, and culture. As such, the journal embraces such disciplines as theoretical biology, evolution theory, developmental psychology, artificial intelligence, cognitive and physical anthropology, paleontology, philosophy of science and technology, evolutionary epistemology, history of ideas, literary and film criticism, media theory, sociology, cosmology, and systems theory, and seeks thereby to help elucidate the human place in the cosmos. The journal publishes a wide variety of articles in the form of essays, major articles as long as 80 pages, theoretical notes of a page or two, as well as book reviews, critical essays and symposia around relevant themes.
